Happy 09-09-09

Bust out those cupcakes and twinkies because we have something to celebrate! (Not that being "alive" isn't something to celebrate, but I'll use any excuse for extra chocolate frosting in my life!) I received my test results back from my oncologist today, and he informed me that I'm "unremarkable." That's right --- my momma always told me I was special, but in this case, thank god, I'm not.

Cancer free. Sans cancer. My deadbeat roommate and scumbag of a disease has been evicted. Did we doubt it? It's three strikes, and you're outta here, Cancer! I mean, we're on the HOME team, baby!! OF COURSE, we were going to beat it!

And, with that one "unremarkable" word, 09-09-09 just became a very "remarkable" day.

So, I'm asking all of you to do something "remarkable" in honor of the ~900,000 individuals that are living with blood cancer today:
